At the young age of 5 years old, Tony the Tiger was fighting on the street of Sacramento.  His father and older brother were boxers, so Tony had it in his blood.  One day while fighting on the street, his brother's trainer Jerry Jacobs stopped and asked him if he wanted to box?  Tony said yes, but when he asked Tony's dad he said when he turns 10.  Again, Tony was fighting on the streets when Jerry saw him.  He was 10.  Jerry pulled up on him and told him to get in the car.  Tony jumped in and the story begins.  Jerry asked Tony what he wanted to do with boxing, and at 10 years old, Tony told him to "Train me as a champion, because I'm going to be a Champion one day." At the age of 20 Tony turned Pro after over 100+ amateur fights.  He had to decide what he wanted to do, Box or something else.  He'd always thought of becoming a Police Officer and was torn.  He took the test for law enforcement, and he passed with a very high score.  He was days away from going to the academy when he decided that he needed to become a Pro boxer.  He thought that if he didn't make it as a boxer, he could always go back to law enforcement. His decision to box was a good decision.  His record as a Pro was 59 wins, 8 loses and 1 draw with 36 knockouts. After his boxing career he chose to go back to the legal field.  He had a meeting with the Famous Bounty Hunter, Leonard Padilla and Leonard told him that with his name, he needed to open a Bail Agency.  Tony worked for Leonard for 8 months to learn bail and then opened Tony the Tiger Bail Bonds.  He's been the owner of Tony the Tiger Bail Bonds for the last 22 years. Tony has many interests.  From the time of boxing and continuing to date, Tony is a motivational speaker, speaking with every type of groups from At Risk Youth to Real Estate Companies and in between.  He mentors At Risk Youths.  He's been involved with the Kiwanis Family House as an ambassador, D.A.R.E. as a speaker, given speeches to many schools, and sports teams, Big Brother, gave a winning speech in 1988 to the 49ers and Bill Walsh, later to receive a thank you letter and a Super Bowl Watch, he's taken into his home several young kids that needed mentoring, Training and Managing boxers, With the many interests, Tonys main interest is acting.  He has been in 20+ independent films with "Phenomenon", being the first film to give him the bug.  He commentates Boxing Events. His attributes are, he's an extrovert that enjoys being around people at all times, very quick witted, able to talk to anyone, very friendly, respectful, kind and caring. Not only does he still have the bail bonds, he's also now in the plumbing business. Tony's
