@Microgreens
Amelia Island Microgreens is a heartwarming story of a mother and son who turned their struggles into a thriving business. When Connor was born as a 'failure to thrive' child, his family turned to good nutrition and mental practices to support his complex health challenges. With over a decade of experience growing microgreens, Connor considers them an essential part of his medicine, providing up to 40% more nutritional density than mature plants.
During the pandemic, Connor's entrepreneurial spirit and desire to help people gain food security led him to start Amelia Island Microgreens. Connor was only 14 years old, but did not let that deter him from working hard to create his own business. Amelia Island Microgreens has been empowering families to grow their own nutrient-rich microgreens, no matter their physical capabilities, age or economic situation since June 2020. They have been recognized in Forbes, Florida Times-Union, Florida Trends, Entrepreneur, Voyage Jacksonville, and The Yulee News. Christine, mom, sits on the board of the International Microgreens Growers Association.
At Amelia Island Microgreens, we believe that everyone deserves access to healthy and trustworthy food.
